We rescued Sam from a filthy backyard. Sam was starving and alone. She had barely a hair left on her body. Her skin was raw and swollen. Thickened and crusty in large patches. She was covered in sores and scratches.
Every inch of her was itchy, infected and painful.
It must have been a living hell.
We’re currently facing an enormous increase in demand for all our services. In fact, the number of animals needing to be rescued dramatically increased by 45% last year! We’re seizing more animals, taking in more surrendered animals, and receiving more reports of abuse and neglect from the public. We’re also pursuing more prosecutions and rehoming more animals.
Your gift can make a huge difference
Every day we rescue animals just like Sam from horrible abuse and neglect. In 2020, Inspectors had to bring in 65% more animals than the year before! It can be hard to keep up with demand, but we can't stand by and let animals suffer.
She received soothing baths and skin ointments, and was put on a special diet to bring her gradually back to tip-top shape. All her fur grew back. And she learned to love again.
We need to be ready for the next call that comes through, but we can only do that with your support. Please help care for another animal like Sam.
